For just a few extra hours training, staff could complete both courses in one go. The comprehensive teaching in this course covers a vast range of situations; from life-threatening conditions to more common illnesses involving both adults and infants/children. The First Aid at Work training, required for larger organisations or high-risk areas, fulfils the statutory duty of care as set by the Health and Safety Executive (First Aid Regulations 1981). As this is combined with the Paediatric First Aid course, it simultaneously meets Ofsted requirements for working with young children.
