With some mixing and matching, staff could complete both courses in one. The First Aid at Work course, required for larger businesses or high-risk areas, fulfils the statutory duty of care as set by the Health and Safety Executive (First Aid Regulations 1981). With the Emergency Paediatric First Aid training, you can also learn basic life support skills for junior and infant casualties. This part of the course meets the Ofsted requirements for working with young children.

Age 16 years or older; must be fit and able to work at floor level. Candidate must conform to the HSE criteria and pass a final assessment.
Attendance records will be kept for 4 years.
To enable candidate to give adequate and efficient first aid to a casualty following an injury or illness using material to hand and HSE approved first aid equipment.
Certificates are issued to all those who pass their final assessment and are valid for three years. These hold the necessary workplace approval through the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). Approval number: 73/07(372).
