Emergency Paediatric First Aid

An ideal course for those on the voluntary register to meet Ofsted requirements for their workplace, such as nanny’s and childminders. This course gives a firm understanding of life savings skills for the under 8’s.


Course Details:


Duration:

6 hours.


Time:

To suit your company’s needs, but usually between 9am - 4.30pm.


Attendees:

2 students upwards, various learning abilities.


Attendee Requirements:

Age 16 years or older. Must be fit and able to work at floor level. Candidate must conform to the HSE criteria and be deemed competent to gain a certificate.


Record Keeping:

Attendance records will be kept for 4 years.


Aims of Course:

To enable candidate to give adequate and efficient first aid to a child following an injury or illness using material to hand and HSE approved first aid equipment.


Certificates:

A certificate of competence will be issued to successful candidates and are valid for three years. These hold the necessary workplace approval through the First Aid Industry Body (FAIB). Approval number: 73/07(372).
